RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF GAMBLING

This unit of competency should be obtained by all staff who are involved in the provision of gambling facilities at a licensed venue. The training must be undertaken by staff within 3 months of employment. Licensees are responsible for ensuring that all staff involved in gaming duties or tasks have the appropriate certification. Penalties apply for licensees who fail to comply.

Where is the certification recognised?

It is a nationally recognised competency, and as such has only to be completed once – however, you should endeavour to keep up with possible changes in the legislation by visiting the Business Queensland website.

Can I complete the course online or face-to-face?

We train RSG face-to-face and online by HD Video. Our current face-to-face training venue is at Palmwoods, on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland, easily accessible by train and bus. If you are new to the hospitality industry, and to gaming, we recommend the face-to-face option.
